The transfer window is almost closed, but one club appears to be still in high gear: FC Barcelona have been known in the recent past for repeatedly popping up when it came to any transfer rumours. That was particularly absurd and still is because the Catalans are pretty clammy due to a poor economy and always have problems with the league’s requirements to solve. Making transfers – that seems to be a priority in Catalonia. Ansu Fati and João Félix are now embroiled in rumours, while a star has yet to leave the club.
According to the Spanish daily Sport everything points to a last transfer of the club before the transfer window closes. João Cancelo has been signed by FC Barcelona for right-back – now a second João is to come. Namely João Felix, who was declared for sale by Atlético Madrid. The 23-year-old is available and Barça should see the chance to sign the offensive player.
João Felix is to come
They say they want to do everything they can for this project by September 1st. Felix has 131 appearances and 34 goals for Atlético Madrid to his credit. The 31-time Portugal international was loaned to Chelsea last season. Club President Laporta cannot or will not say anything about the Felix case. When asked, he referred to Deco, who was responsible for the transfers.
Already gone
The FFP, meaning the Spanish League Federation, could complicate matters for FC Barcelona even if a player has already been taken off the payroll. Clement Lenglet left the club and joined Aston Villa. From now on, the Frenchman will defend in Birmingham, but has only been loaned out to the Premier League for one season. Villa also has no purchase option for the 28-year-old, but should take over a large part of his salary.

Ansu Fati: Move to Germany or England?
The situation is different with Ansu Fati. The winger was once thought to be Lionel Messi’s successor but the 20-year-old is said to be considering a last-minute transfer. Laporta said Fati was not asked to leave. Reference was also made to the valid contract, which is valid until 2027. However, there was no clear denial and so BVB, Chelsea and Spurs were in wait. Borussia is considering a possible change from Niclas Füllkrug – but Fati would certainly also be a promising candidate. Spurs have Fati in their sights should Brennan Johnson’s transfer go awry.
