It’s official now. Sergi Roberto says goodbye to FC Barcelona and announces that he will not continue wearing the blue and red shirt during this new season. He announced this on his Instagram profile, where he uploaded a video with an emotional message, thanking the culé club for these last 18 years.
Thus, he will leave the Barcelona club as a free agent, after ending his contractual relationship on June 30. In fact, Barça has prepared A farewell event for the man who was captain of Barça until last season for this Tuesday, August 13 at the Spotify Camp Nou.
This is Sergi Roberto’s message in his farewell video: “Culés, the time has come to thank you for this entire journey we have made together.My story with Barça began when I was 14: from Reus to Barcelona, fulfilling my dream of wearing the Barça shirt. Passing through La Masia, where I lived my best years as a teenager and where I learned all the values of this club. Growing as a player and, above all, as a person; making friends that will last a lifetime.”

I have shared a dressing room with my idols and with the best players and coaches in the world, a real privilege. I’m leaving proud. Proud of having given everything for 18 years.
