Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back to the Premier League. The Gabonese striker arrives from FC Barcelona on a two-year contract Chelsea. The transfer fee is expected to be relatively modest of twelve million euros.
Aubameyang only joined the Catalans in early February. Chelsea is his second stop in England. Prior to his short stint at Barcelona, he was Granit Xhaka’s teammate at Arsenal for four years. He sometimes left the club for disciplinary reasons. The 33-year-old says of his return: “I still have an account with the Premier League. It’s exciting to be back.”
Most recently, Aubameyang, who had lost his regular seat at Barcelona following the signing of Robert Lewandowski, made headlines off the pitch. He sustained a jaw injury during a robbery at his home. Valuables for a total value of approximately 700,000 euros were stolen.
The other way will likely be left back Marco Alonso walk. For a long time there has been speculation about a barter transaction. This has not happened now.
