And so one of the supporters insisted on asking the president if Lionel Messi would come back to Barca. The leader of the Catalans let himself be elicited a “yes” including a wink.
Messi’s contract with PSG is up
Behind the scenes, Laporta is said to be trying to thread a Messi return. The contract of the 35-year-old Argentine, who had to leave Barca on a free transfer in 2021 due to financial problems, expires at Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season. And according to the French media, the PSG departure of the world champion is already almost a done deal. The only question that remains is whether Barca can financially convince LaLiga to register a Messi transfer.
