Barcelona has achieved its goal. He will buy two players
For the first of them, the central defender of Manchester City, who is a home-grown of Barcelona, the runners-up will pay about 15 million euros. To this amount, in the next few years there will be bonuses depending on the performances and achievements of the 19-year-old. Depay will be more expensive because you will have to pay EUR 25 million for it. Taking into account the form of the Dutchman, who impressed Olympique Lyonnais last season, the price should be considered very good. Another thing is that for Barcelona, which is in a difficult financial situation, this amount is still considerable.
According to Nicolo Schira, Garcia will sign a 5-year contract. It is not known how long Depay’s contract will last. Both players will undergo medical tests at the Catalan club on Monday.
Barcelona need reinforcements after a very weak last season, in which they lost the Spanish championship to Real Madrid and were humiliated in the Champions League by Bayern Munich. In the current competition, Koeman’s team, who replaced Quique Setien, is fifth in the table with two wins and a draw. The three teams (Villarreal, Real Sociedad and Real Betis) ahead of him, however, have two more games played. Real Madrid, currently leading in the table, also has one more game.
