I always find it amazing that Barca players are willing to take these pay cuts. Barca’s appeal still seems to be there despite the rather bleak prospects.
I can’t imagine that at any BuLi Club.
But it also says a lot about the horrendous salaries Barca used to pay.
But how you want to sell the current squad 25 million a year for Lewy will be exciting. If you can commit and register him or transfers in general.-
For most of these players, that’s not surprising. Pique and Co. have been in the club for ages and I doubt that they want to change the center of their lives again. In addition, the club is even more important for the Catalans. If Bayern were in the same situation, a Müller would also prefer to forego salary instead of having to change clubs again. Even with us on the football pitches there is something where someone could easily play 2 leagues higher, but would rather kick at the district league club around the corner because they know the people there and the way is not that far.
Sergi Roberto is a completely different case, he doesn’t give up any salary because his contract has expired and he wouldn’t have been able to get hired in any other top leagues under the previous conditions. This has nothing to do with a salary cut.
