Before the preparations for the Spanish vice-champions’ round are finished, there is still a match with AC Milan and AS Monaco in the Gamper Cup. The next round of La Liga will take place in less than two weeks: Barcelona will start the competition with a match against Valencia.
It is hard for Blaugrana fans to be particularly optimistic about the upcoming season. The club is in a terrible financial situation, key positions in the team have not been filled, and the authorities have spent a huge sum, exceeding 50 million, on Dani Olmo, who is not essential to Hansi Flick. The German emphasized that he needed a defensive midfielder “yesterday”. The club, on the other hand, spent a huge amount on an offensive player, playing close to the forwards.
In addition, the future of Sergi Roberto is unclear. The club captain left without being bid farewell by the authorities, although considering his past and present merits, he deserves thanks like no one else.
