The American federal police are investigating a threat of shootings targeting schools in the United States, broadcast on the social network TikTok and whose virality has led many establishments to alert parents.

The rumor emerged two weeks after a deadly shooting at a high school in Oxford, Michigan, where a 15-year-old teenager killed four students and injured several others with a semi-automatic pistol donated by his parents.
“Information is circulating that today is a day of attacks on schools“, warned in an e-mail the officials of a school in the capital Washington, adding that “the administration and the local police are aware and are following it closely“.

The school district of Pennsbury, Pa., Has told parents that there will be a reinforced police presence around its buildings, even if it “don’t think this threat is credible.“TikTok assured to conduct the investigation while seeming to distance itself from these videos appeared on its platform.
