Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Bookvar said the state expects to receive about 10 times more votes by mail in this election than in 2016 and acknowledged that this can complicate the counting of votes in a state that will be crucial in Tuesday’s process.
–
“Let me start by saying that nearly 2.4 million citizens of the state have already cast their vote in the mail. This will be 10 times more than in the last presidential election in Pennsylvania, “said Boockvar this Sunday in an interview with the NBC news channel.
–
“So, yes, it will take more time (the count) But at the same time I want to make it clear that the elections have never been declared on election night,” said the official, referring to the state’s traditional slowness in processing absentee voting, which is required by state law to begin when voting centers close.
–
Boockvar assured that the full scrutiny will be “a matter of days.” There is a legal battle over accepting votes by mail beyond November 3. State law allows ballots received by November 6 to be accepted, provided they are stamped on or before November 3.
–
This year, all Pennsylvania voters were allowed to vote by mail if they wanted to.

Pennsylvania is one of the dozen pendulum states that may depend on whether the electoral result is tilted in favor of Biden or Trump, and for this reason, its procedures are being analyzed in detail by the parties.

Here we tell you how the process will be to count the vote by mail in each of the pendulum states. ????
