Today’s heavy metal masters and one of the most demanded Swedish bands Amon Amarth will visit Latvia for the first time and perform in the Palladium Concert Hall on July 13. The band will perform in Riga as part of their latest album “Berserker” tour. Tickets will be available for public sale from February 10 at 10:00 in “Biļešu Serviss” network, but from February 7 tickets will be available in advance.
Amon Amarth’s debut album “Once Sent from the Golden Hall” was released in 1998 and since then the band has released a total of 11 albums, toured internationally and performed at major world metal music festivals such as “Wacken Open Air”, “Hellfest”, Download Festival, Sweden Rock Festival and Mayhem Festival.
The band earned their first big moment of global fame and recognition with the 2008 album Twilight of the Thunder God, which was ranked 50th on the Billboard album chart, 11th on the Swedish album chart and 6th on the influential music edition. “Metal Hammer” album chart. The band’s next albums were also highly rated by music critics and won the album charts.
In May last year, Amon Amarth’s latest, eleventh studio album “Berserker” was released, consisting of 12 songs on mythological and historical Viking themes with irresistible melodic metal elements. It includes everything fans love and at the same time boldly marks a new, creative band handwriting that makes Berserker the best album of all time in the band’s career.
Tickets for the Amon Amarth concert at the Palladium Riga concert hall on July 13 will go on sale on February 10 at 10:00 and they can be purchased at “Biļešu Serviss” ticket offices and www.bilesuserviss.lv.
