It concerns various spice mixes from Verstegen: “Ground lemongrass”, “Java blend for Nasi/Bami with ginger and lemongrass”, “Mix Saté” and “Mix Nasi/Bami goreng”. The herbs were sold until April 7, 2022.

After the discovery, Albert Heijn is also recalling the AH gourmet dish, which contains Verstegen lemongrass. Until today/April 8, the gourmet dish of 550 grams was sold in a dish with plastic foil. These are products with an expiry date (TGT) 07/04/2022, 09/04/2022, 11/04/2022, 14/04/2022 and 16/04/2022.

The products can potentially cause food infections and pose a health hazard, especially in young children, the elderly, people with weakened immune systems and pregnant women.

The FASFC and the retail chains therefore call on not to consume the products and to return them to the point of sale, where they will be replaced or refunded. Anyone with health problems is asked to contact a doctor.

For additional information, customers can contact the FASFC hotline (0800/13.550, [email protected]) or Albert Heijn (0800/777.05).
