The pink fauna bridge over the Beatrix Canal in Eindhoven collapsed in the night from Thursday to Friday. According to the municipality, the bridge has collapsed due to the heavy rainfall.
The bridge has broken in two and is partly in the water. Boats and ships cannot pass through it. The municipality is present to see if they can salvage the bridge. The fire brigade is also present.

The pink bridge at the Oirschotsedijk was placed at the end of 2019 as a special crossing point for small animals such as salamanders, frogs and rabbits.
