GenPI.co – Indodax CEO Oscar Darmawan highlighted the issue of the East Java Nahdlatul Ulama Regional Board (PWNU) issuing an unlawful fatwa to crypto bitcoin.
According to Oscar, he has no right to have an opinion when it comes to religious matters.
“That’s not my realm,” Oscar told GenPI.co on Friday (29/10).

However, Oscar explained when it came to legality, Indodax already have a permit from the government.
According to him, all crypto activities have been monitored by the Ministry of Trade through CoFTRA.

“In terms of legality, we make sure it is clear and already has a legal umbrella under CoFTRA,” he explained.
Therefore, Oscar admitted that he is still monitoring the news.

He feels that crypto assets in Indonesia will still be in demand by the public because the number of requests is increasing.
