The Parish of Fátima / Salesianos is preparing a religious initiative for the next 12th of May. This year, due to the impossibility of carrying out the traditional procession from the parish of Fátima, in Funchal, to the Salesians, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the image of Our Lady will cross the parish streets (Zona da Rochinha and Zona do Faial) in a Firefighters’ car, starting at 9 pm, ending at the Salesianos grounds, where there will be a small celebration, presided over by Bishop of Funchal, D. Nuno Brás, with reserved seats, duly distanced, to comply with the rules issued by the Government.
As usual, the Emitter Post of Funchal will transmit the third and the image of the Patroness will travel in collaboration with the Funchal City Council, the Volunteer Firefighters and PSP.
