Ninove –
A father tried to kidnap his own 3-year-old child from the home of his ex-partner on Saturday night. The public prosecutor’s office of East Flanders has confirmed this. Two were injured. The child has been found safe and sound.

Last night, the child’s father, together with some friends, raided a house of his ex-partner on Brusselsesteenweg in Meerbeke, near Ninove. They took the child there.
Two people were injured in a skirmish that started in the house. The public prosecutor does not want to say exactly who it is. It is true that one of them was seriously injured, but is not in danger to life.
The child was later found safe and sound by the police.
The father was no longer allowed to see his child and therefore took matters into his own hands. The police were still looking for the suspects on Sunday afternoon.
