Al-Marsad newspaper: The father of the Palestinian child Wadih Al-Fayoumi, who was killed last Saturday in Chicago, Illinois, USA, revealed new details about the incident.
He said that the owner of the house, Joseph Chuba (71 years old), who stabbed his child 26 times, “had a good relationship with the boy and his mother, Hanan Shaheen, before killing them.” According to the Daily Beast.
He added: “It is difficult to imagine that this man was carrying a knife to stab my son, while the latter was probably running to hug him.”
He continued: “My wife and son knew him, and they had a good relationship.” He continued: “The owner of the killer house where his family lived had previously done his best to build a small hut for the boy, and helped them build an indoor “playground” as well.
He pointed out that “his son never screamed while he was stabbed, but rather his last words to his mother were, ‘I’m fine!'”
He added, “I received a call from the police department, asking: Are you Uday al-Fayoum? Are you Wadih’s father? He was killed.”
He confirmed that it was such a big shock to him that he did not believe the news, and thought that the police had made a mistake in his identity. He said, “The whole thing seemed like torture, as I did not know any information about the crime for 4 hours, which felt like 40 years.”
