Markle made himself heard this morning on the show of Meghan critic Piers Morgan, who he often spoke about the troubled relationship he has with his daughter. For example, Thomas was not invited to the wedding of the couple, because he would work with the tabloid press.

In the interview with Oprah, there was a chilling passage in which Meghan says that during her first pregnancy there were questions about how ‘colored’ her unborn child would be. According to her, that doubt could even be the reason to refuse her son Archie (now almost 2) the title of prince. “I have great respect for the Royal Family and I don’t think they are racist. I don’t think the British are racist anyway, I think Los Angeles is racist, California too, but the British… no ”, Thomas Markle responded this morning.

He thinks the question about the baby’s skin color was just a “stupid question.” “It can be that simple. It could just be that someone asked a stupid question, instead of being a total racist. ” Regardless, he thinks Harry and Meghan’s claims should be investigated.

He went on to say that he felt abandoned by Meghan when he was sick at the time of the marriage. But he also says that if he had known she was struggling with mental health issues, he would have “been there for her.”
