Second of three brothers, he was the only male in his family. His two sisters Luisa and Judith currently reside in the Basque Country. He arrived in Seville in 1972. For almost half a century he was a pillar of the San José de los Padres Blancos School, in Los Remedios, where he has spent 25 years, 19 as director, and in the parish of San Marcos, which he has commanded for 17 years and where he has developed countless activities. , without forgetting the care for the sick, the needy and its parish Caritas.
In 2014 he was transferred from the San José school, in the Los Remedios neighborhood and where he was linked for 42 years, to the San Víctor parish, in the Pilar neighborhood of Madrid, which he directed for a short time. Later, I return to Seville for medical reasons to reside in the San Marcos church, of which he was parish priest in previous stages. Since then, in this central neighborhood in the northern part of Seville, he lived with his Congregation of the Sacred Hearts.
It was also diocesan delegate of Media of the Archdiocese until June 2013, with the Archbishop Emeritus, Cardinal Amigo Vallejo, and with Archbishop Asenjo, who replaced him with Marcelino Manzano, in turn later relieved by Adrián Ríos. He was the director of the Canal Sur TV program, “Witnesses today,” which was founded by José María Javierre. On the other hand, he has directed the magazine RS21.
