A St. Petersburg police patrol passed by a pond. They saw an alligator “holding an object between its jaws”, told one of the police officers to our colleagues from CNN. Investigators then opened fire on the animal, which immediately dropped what it was holding in its mouth. It was the lifeless but intact body of the two-year-old child. The alligator was euthanized.
Father charged with two murders
Taylen was allegedly thrown into the animal’s mouth by his father, Thomas Mosley, 21, who was also accused of murdering the child’s mother. The 20-year-old was found dead on Thursday March 30 in her apartment.
