For now, nothing will change in Britney Spears’ custody order. The American pop singer has gone to court because she no longer wants her father to be her trustee.
Yesterday there was a court hearing in Los Angeles on Spears’ receivership. Although the judge decided to hear the trial behind closed doors and also not make documents accessible to the public, several American entertainment sites report that Spears’s custody order has been extended until February 1.
According to TMZ Spears’s lawyer has not yet filed all necessary documents and the judge has therefore stayed the case. The lawyer has until mid-September to fix everything, says Entertainment Tonight.
Britney Spears (38) has been under the supervision of her father, among others, since 2008 due to psychiatric problems. As a result, she has almost complete control over her life, money and career.
The singer debuted in 1998 at the age of 16 with …Baby One More Time, which immediately became a worldwide hit. Her albums were sold tens of millions of times. In recent years it has been quiet musically around Spears.
