fatally hit as he got out of his car on the A46

Shortly before midnight, two vehicles parked for a still unknown reason on the hard shoulder of the highway in the east-west direction at the height of Ambérieux.

It was then that the driver of a heavyweight hit a man who got out of his car. Aged about forty years, the victim died on the spot despite the intervention of the firefighters. A woman was also injured and was hospitalized in a state of relative emergency.

An investigation was opened to clarify the circumstances of the tragedy and to understand why the vehicles were stopped and the man was walking on the A46.
