Fatalities accident A59 near Sprang-Capelle came from one family | Interior

The four fatalities of Friday evening’s accident on the A59 near Sprang-Capelle in Brabant came from one family, the police announced on Saturday morning.

It concerns a 10-year-old girl, a 13-year-old boy, a 46-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman from Raamsdonksveer in North Brabant.

The accident happened around 9:15 p.m. Four cars and one truck were involved. The car the victims were in caught fire.

One of the other drivers suffered minor injuries. In the hospital, the man was found to have been drinking and using drugs. A police spokesperson says that the 33-year-old man from Zevenbergschen Hoek is seen as a suspect, but that an investigation has yet to show whether his substance use caused the accident. The man has not yet been arrested.

Police are still investigating how the accident happened.
