Suprianda (27) who is a household assistant (ART) at Samarinda, East Kalimantan (Kaltim) was killed by his employer’s pet tiger, A alias AR (41). Suprianda is in charge of taking care of AR’s pets every day.
Reported detikSulsel, Samarinda Police Chief Commissioner Ary Fadli said that Suprianda was attacked by a tiger on Saturday (18/11/2023) at around 10.00 WITA. Meanwhile, AR has been named a suspect.
“This incident occurred on Saturday at 10.00 WITA. At that time the victim, who works as a household member at the suspect’s house every day, carried out activities to clean or feed one of the suspect’s pets,” said Samarinda Police Chief Commissioner Ary Fadli at a press conference. , Thursday (23/11/2023).
The information that Suprianda was attacked by a tiger began with the suspect’s wife’s suspicions. Because, at that time Suprianda never came out of the tiger’s cage after cleaning and feeding it.
“Because the victim’s wife felt suspicious because the victim did not come out of the cage, she finally reported it to the suspect,” he explained.
AR then went to the tiger’s cage and saw the victim in the wild animal’s grip. AR then released the victim from his pet’s bite and then reported the incident to the police.
“After that, the suspect tried to enter the cage and tried to drive the tiger back into the cage. After it was locked, he then reported it to the authorities,” explained Ary.
