A man was killed in a stabbing incident in a house in Amsterdam-West. Another was seriously injured. The police have arrested a suspect, a 36-year-old man from Amsterdam.
After the stabbing incident on Robert Scottstraat, witnesses saw a man standing on a balcony with a knife, the police reported. A bystander explains NH News that the man was ‘all covered in blood’.
Several ambulances arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance to the victims; the trauma helicopter was also called. CPR was of no avail for one of the victims.
The other victim was able to escape despite his injuries and run outside, where he was received by bystanders.
The arrested man showed confused behavior more often, say local residents The parole. Police believe the suspect acted alone.
