Fatal Shooting Outside Kennedy Fried Chicken Franchise in the Bronx: 26-Year-Old Victim Killed

A 26-year-old man was killed in an early morning shooting outside a Kennedy Fried Chicken franchise restaurant in the Bronx, NYPD reported.

Police were called around 10:55 a.m. Thursday to the branch located at 131 W. Kingsbridge Road near Webb Ave. in Kingsbridge Heightsin front of the “James J. Peters Veterans Administration Medical Center,” indicated Daily News.

At the scene, officers found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. Paramedics rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, but were unable to save him. His name was not released as police worked to locate his family.

It is unclear what caused the shooting or whether the victim knew the gunman. No arrests have been made or suspects identified.
