NEW YORK — A subway rider died after being shot on a No. 3 train Sunday night in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
Police sources tell CBS New York the 34-year-old man was trying to break up a fight between two other passengers who were arguing over loud music.
The shooting happened just after 8 p.m. on board a train approaching the Franklin Avenue station.
Police said the victim was shot multiple times in his back and shoulder. He was rushed to Kings County Hospital but did not survive his injuries.
Police have not released any information about the suspect, and no arrests have been made.
