The Jetline roller coaster at Gröna Lund will be closed throughout 2024, reports Swedens radio.
One person died and several were injured when the popular attraction derailed this summer.
The accident is being investigated by the National Accident Investigation Board and the police, and the public prosecutor’s office. It is still unknown what caused the accident, discs The Express.
“Gröna Lund is cooperating fully with the investigations to find the cause of the accident, so that something similar will never happen again,” the amusement park writes in a press release.
The accident committee’s final report is expected to be presented in May or June 2024.
The attraction has been closed since the accident, and will remain closed throughout next year. Jetline’s future is still uncertain, writes Expressen.
The press release states that the attraction will remain closed until the National Accident Investigation Board has completed its investigation into the accident.
“Only after that can we assess whether, and if so, how and when Jetline can possibly be reopened in a safe manner.”
