Two women were seriously injured in a rear-end collision in Cologne-Eil. For one of them, any help comes too late.
A fatal accident occurred in the Eil district of Cologne on Tuesday afternoon. According to the police, an 80-year-old and a 75-year-old woman wanted to get out of a taxi when a Mercedes hit the stationary vehicle from behind. The 92-year-old driver of the car hit both women.
Despite immediately initiated resuscitation measures, the 80-year-old died at the scene of the accident from her severe injuries. Her companion was also seriously injured by rescue workers in a clinic. The drivers of the taxi and Mercedes suffered a shock.
