One person died and another person was seriously injured in a house fire in Eersel on Monday. The police have arrested four people for arson.
According to Broadcasting Brabant the fire broke out around 4 p.m. in the house on Voortseweg in Eersel. The victims are said to be two men. The four people arrested are also believed to be men. The police do not report this.
The broadcaster writes that the injured man could be removed from the house shortly after the fire broke out. The fire brigade then started searching for the second man in the house, who was subsequently found dead.
The police write to X that the fire is currently being investigated. “The house where the fire broke out is a squat. All those involved are adults.”
According to the police, technical investigations must reveal whether arson actually occurred. Due to fire-fighting efforts, that investigation will probably only be carried out on Tuesday.
