Fatal hit-and-run of a motorist in Brooklyn

A woman riding a motorized scooter has died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Brooklyn.

The incident took place this Friday, around 2 in the morning at the intersection of Lexington Street and Throop Avenue, in the Bedford-Stuyvesant sector.

Police presence on Lexington Street and Throop Ave.

According to Police: Bernadine Lewis, 43, was struck by a dark-colored Hyundai sedan that ran a red light.

Lewis was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police are now looking for the driver of the car.
