Fire which hit a residential area on Jalan Hidup Baru RT 011 RW 02 Pademangan, North Jakarta, claimed lives. A man reportedly died in the incident.
“The body will be taken to the RSCM (Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National Central General Hospital) for autopsy purposes,” said Head of the Pademangan Police Criminal Investigation Unit Iptu I Gede Gustiyana, reported BetweenMonday (12/6/2023).
Residents found the dead victim while rescuing valuables from the ruins of the building, on Monday (12/6). The identity of the victim is not yet known.
The remains male gender. The victim was found by Inafis officers in the bathroom of the former grocery store building.
When officers arrived at the location at 15.13 WIB, the location had already been cordoned off by a police line (police line). While dozens of semi-permanent buildings near the railroad tracks were burned, now only ruins remain.
A white car caught fire at the location. A resident, Suroso (38) admitted that his house was burnt to nothing.
The man who was born in Brebes, Central Java, also admitted that he was resigned to not being able to do anything when the red rooster devoured the house left by his parents-in-law.
The fire occurred on Sunday (11/6). As many as 20 houses were burnt in the incident.
