Breaking News: Fatality Reported in Car and Lorry Collision in County Cavan
Tragedy strikes once again, as a young man in his 20s loses his life in a collision between a car and a lorry in County Cavan. The incident took place on the N3 at New Inns, Ballyjamesduff, shortly before 5pm on Thursday evening, and eyewitnesses are being called upon to come forward with any information they may have.
The victim was driving alone in the car at the time of the accident, and no other serious injuries were reported. However, the road is expected to remain closed overnight, with local diversions in place, while a forensic collision investigation is carried out.
The Garda have appealed to anyone who was on the N3 between 4.30 pm and 5.15 pm on Thursday, or who has camera or dash-cam footage of the area, to contact them as soon as possible.
