On Sunday, December 5, on the busy Kiev-Chop highway in Zhytomyr region, a woman driving a Daewoo Lanos car collided with a DAF truck. As a result of the strongest impact, the passenger car was literally crushed, and three passengers, including children 11 and 5 years old, died on the spot.

According to the patrolman, the woman drove into the oncoming lane, not being convinced of the safety of the maneuver on the highway. In addition, the car was moving along a slippery road from the first frost on summer tires.
“The driver and her passengers did not have seat belts fastened, there were no child seats in the car. Even if all the rules are observed, such head-to-head accidents lead to death, but in the absence of them, the chances are scanty,” Beloshitsky said.
