The farmers’ movement is mourned by the death of a farmer, killed on the morning of Tuesday January 23 at a blockage point in Pamiers (Ariège). Her daughter and her husband were seriously injured.
A fatal accident near a farmers’ blockade took place this Tuesday, January 23 in the morning, around 5:45 a.m. A woman died in this road accident. Her husband and daughter were injured. They were quickly taken care of by Samu. “There was a car that crashed into bales of straw, and behind it was a couple of farmers. Unfortunately, the impact was violent. The farmer died, the farmer and one of his children are at home. the hospital”explains Luc Smessaert, vice-president of the FNSEA.
The mobilization of farmers continues throughout France
The prefect of Ariège went to the scene of the accident, with the sub-prefect of Pamiers. Numerous emergency services were on site. A psychological support unit has also been set up. The president of the FNSEA calls on farmers to be careful about blocking points. Everywhere else in France, actions are increasing and mobilization continues.
