Fastest Pol Espargaro, Third Marquez

Pol Espargaro be the fastest driver in the first free practice session (FP1) MotoGP Mandalika whereas Mark Marquez is in third place.

Pol Espargaro clocked 1 minute 33.499 seconds, 0.044 seconds ahead of KTM’s Miguel Oliveira in second place.

Marquez then came in third with a difference of 0.079 seconds. Franco Morbidelli and Johann Zarco complete the top five positions in the Mandalika MotoGP FP1.

The battle of MotoGP racers has been running fiercely since the Mandalika MotoGP FP1 began. Several position changes occurred until finally Johann Zarco became the fastest when the Mandalika MotoGP FP1 entered the last 20 minutes.

Zarco’s position was then evicted by Marc Marquez who recorded a time of 1 minute 34.987 seconds.

Pol Espargaro then took first place with a time of 1 minute 34.476 seconds. Pol’s record continued to last until the final five minutes of the Mandalika MotoGP FP1.

Franco Morbidelli then stomped with a speed of 1 minute 33.881 seconds in the remaining four minutes.

Brad Binder and Miguel Oliveira were quick enough but they didn’t have enough time to overtake Morbidelli.

In the final seconds, Pol Espargaro skyrocketed with a time of 1 minute 33,760 and sat in first position. It didn’t last long because Marquez posted 1 minute 33.578 seconds.

Miguel Oliveira then beat Marquez’s record on his last chance. He recorded 1 minute 33,543 seconds.

The first position finally belonged to Pol Espargaro who was able to carve 1 minute 33.499 seconds at the end.

The Mandalika MotoGP race marked the return of Indonesia to host a grand prix race since the last time it held a race in 1997. At that time the race was held at the Sentul Circuit.
