Fastest Oliveira, Mir What Position?

From the results of free practice 1 MotoGP Portugal 2020, Miguel Oliveira recorded the best time to be the fastest in this session, ahead of Maverick Vinales. Joan Mir, the 2020 MotoGP champion, is in seventh position.

Miguel Oliveira, who is also one of the winning riders this season, recorded 1 minute 40.122 seconds to carve the best time at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portimão, Friday (20/11/2020).

The second best time was scored by Vinales who was only 0.040 seconds adrift of the best time he made Miguel Oliveira. The results of the 2020 MotoGP Portugal FP1 then put Aleix Espargaro in third place with a time difference of about 0.1 seconds from Oliveira.

Lorenzo Savadori, who has replaced Bradley Smith for the last three MotoGP 2020 series, was able to record the fourth fastest time in this session. Pol Espgararo and Cal Crutchlow followed in the next two positions in the FP1 session MotoGP Portugal 2020 this.

Meanwhile Joan Mir, who returned to action on the track after confirming the 2020 MotoGP world title in Valencia last weekend, is in seventh place. The time is 0.734 seconds behind Miguel Oliveira.

The series of activities on the Portimao track today will continue with the second training session, aka FP2, at night. Training will continue on Saturday (21/11) tomorrow, with the qualifying session following on Saturday night WIB.

The 2020 Portuguese MotoGP Race will then be held on Sunday (22/11) evening WIB. Even though Joan Mir has confirmed the world rider title, Suzuki, who is his team, will still pursue the Triple Crown – the world rider, team and manufacturer title. Alex Rins, Mir’s teammate at the Suzuki Ecstar, is also still chasing second place in the 2020 MotoGP final standings.
