fast movement in Cyberpunk 2077 was free, but the metro was cut out

In an interview with the German portal GameStar level designer of Cyberpunk 2077, Miles Tost, told how the system of rapid movement in the game has changed during the development.

Initially, it was assumed that between the distant sections of Night City, the user will be able to move by subway. In this case, for travel, as in real life, you would have to pay.

Subway featured in Cyberpunk 2077’s debut trailer with E3 2018 and on several concept art, however, it didn’t live up to the release: instead of a maze of tunnels, the game will use a simplified system.

The new version of fast movement works in the manner of similar mechanics in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – the user initiates teleportation using special terminals scattered around the world of Cyberpunk 2077.

In this case, the process of rapid movement, contrary to the original idea, will not be displayed either: after the confirmation of the destination of the player, a download will wait, after which the hero will be in the right place.

In an interview with IGN, lead quest designer Pavel Sasko also confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will not have a personalization system for cars. Instead, gamers will be able to find in the game already improved vehicles.

It is expected that Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for PC, PS4, Xbox One and in the service GeForce Now only on November 19 this year. Until recently, a release was planned for September 17thbut the developers decided to defer.
