Fast & Furious Crossroads: an “uncertain” release date after the postponement of Fast & Furious 9 – News

Mulan, The New Mutants, Dying can wait… many films scheduled for the start of 2020 have postponed their release due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. This is also the case for Fast & Furious 9, which was supposed to arrive in May accompanied by the game Fast & Furious Crossroads.

While Fast & Furious 9 is now expected in April 2021, the release date of Fast & Furious: Crossroads is currently “uncertain”, as Codemasters indicates in a communicated. If the game has no direct link with the feature film, its publisher Bandai Namco and Universal logically plan to take advantage of the latter’s aura.

Developed by Slightly Mad Studios, to whom we owe the license Project CARS, Fast & Furious: Crossroads had been unveiled last December during the 2019 Game Awards. It will stage the different actors of the film franchise (Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson …) in a single story mode promising its share lawsuits and other robberies around the world. Multiplayer will also be there.
