Katie Gallagher was the clothing designer for Lady Gaga and Rita Ora. Now the police suspect that she is one of several dead in a series of drug-related robbery attempts.
A woman who was found dead in a Manhattan apartment in New York eight months ago is now identified as motedesigner Kathryn Marie Gallagher (35).
Now the police believe that she was killed, and have started an investigation, write ABC New York.
Katie Gallagher was an American fashion designer who has dressed world stars such as Lady Gaga and Rita Ora and the actress Laverne Cox, and has shown 26 of her collections during the fashion weeks in New York and Paris.
She is described as an “internationally recognized fashion designer” and has appeared in magazines such as Vogue and Elle.
Now the police in New York suspect that she died after ingesting a toxic combination of fentanyl, alcohol, ethanol and p-fluorofentanyl.
According to NBC New York, police sources say that Gallagher’s death can be linked to 26 other similar incidents on New York’s Lower East Side, where the victims are said to have been drugged and robbed. Of the 26 incidents, two should have died from an overdose.
In a statement to NBC New York, the family of Katie Gallagher said:
