Boston Bruins players are overwhelmingly optimistic about their goaltenders heading into 2021-22.
Still, Tuukka Rask will be sidelined until January, at a minimum, due to a hip injury. Many still consider him the number 1 in the organization, except that he still does not have a contract in hand and his status as an unrestricted free agent would technically allow him to come to an agreement with another club.

The Bruins will therefore have to contend with a tandem of Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark for much of next season, if not all.
“We have Swayman and Ullmark, and Tuukka is in rehabilitation right now … We love ‘Tooks,” defenseman Charlie McAvoy told NHL.com. I think he’s the best goalie in the National League. If we were able to bring him back into the fold of the team, that would be a nice problem to have. I am excited to start the season with the goalkeepers we have, and then eventually find Tuukka. ”
The future of the team
During the absence of their two goalkeepers in the most recent campaign, Swayman, 22, shone in taking over. He posted a 7-3-0 record, in addition to posting a 1.50 goals against average and .945 save rate. Also, he had two shutouts.
“He’s an amazing player,” Bruins fullback Connor Clifton praised of the young cerberus. He’s young, he’s creative and he won some important games for us last year. We try to help it as much as possible and we hope that it will continue to develop in the same way. Of course, the acquisition of Ullmark will also help us. I don’t know much about him, but I can’t wait to get to know him and see this duo in action. It’s exciting. ”
A young veteran
The Bruins have reached an agreement with Ullmark on a four-year, $ 20 million pact to open the free agent market to make up for the loss of Rask and Jaroslav Halak, who flew to Vancouver.
