AMBERG – A jukebox in one hand, a bottle of schnapps in the other. So an Amberger rode hands-free in the middle of a four-lane road on his bike and filled the area with Ballermann music. The police took up the action with humor – after all, it was Shrove Tuesday.
A 22-year-old Amberger made the inspecting police officers smile, “because he was longing for a little carnival parade atmosphere,” the police said in their report.
The young man was riding his bike hands-free late that afternoon in the middle of a busy four-lane road. He wasn’t masked, but he held a jukebox in one hand that was loudly playing Ballermann music and in the other hand was a bottle of schnapps.
The officers had to put a stop to the “carnival”, even if he was safely sitting in the saddle for a while before the police patrol. When the officers tried to stop him for the traffic control, the man only noticed that he was being followed and indicated an unsuitable escape attempt.
