I recently saw you informed that the creators of Battlefield 2042, DICE studio, consider some features such as the scoreboard or voicechat to be obsolete. Despite the failed start, Battlefield 2042 was undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of this year. However, the players on the Steam platform probably thought the opposite, as the new Farming Simulator 2022 surpassed it in the number of concurrent players.
However, it should be noted that the data was from the weekend (specifically Saturday), when the Farming Simulator was led by more than 40,000 players playing concurrently. Now the numbers have leveled off, but Farming Simulator still leads by several hundred players. At the time of writing, according to Steam DB Farming Simulator, it has peaked at 105,636 players and Battlefield at 100,397 players.
It would not be fair to say that the new Battlefield is a loser in terms of the number of PC players. In fact, the number of players will be much larger, because we have to take into account the other platforms on which the game is located – Epic Games Store or Origin and EA Play Pro.
