Al-Marsad Newspaper: The owner of the fish farms project in Najran, Muhammad Al Suwaid, recounted his experience of farming fish in the desert and among the towering mountain peaks.
Al Suwaid explained, during an interview on Al-Ikhbariya channel, that the place was a traditional farm, but they turned it into a fish farm.
He stated that they used the water for cultivation in cultivating the mountains and turning them into green areas, noting that so far only 30% has been completed.
Regarding the types of fish that they have been able to cultivate so far, he said that the fish currently available are tilapia, revealing that they are in the process of cultivating other types of fish such as carp and other fish that can be cultured in fresh water.
He concluded that his farms are the largest in the region and that he produces large quantities of fish, between 30 and 40 tons per year.
