Farming Days 2024 at the Swiss Museum of Transport

The Swiss Museum of Transport and fenaco, together with around 30 partners, are holding the Farming Days for the third time. Special highlights include workshop concerts for the Schwiizergoofe to take part in as well as a swing show with young wrestlers. The three-day event will take place from September 27th to 29th, 2024 in the arena of the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne. The focal point is the farm of the exhibition “Of Pitchforks and Drones: Agriculture Today”, which opens in 2023.

Agriculture and nutrition are of great interest to the Swiss population. At the Farming Days 2024, visitors will gain insights into the work of farmers, learn about innovative work tools and the diverse job profiles and learn interesting facts about the products, services and technologies that are essential for a sustainable, efficient and market-oriented agriculture and food industry needs.

The varied program includes attractive offers for young and old. Small children can have fun in the LANDI farming course and stop by the mother sow with piglets or the cute goats. Young people take a ride on a modern tractor, test their agricultural skills with the farming simulator or are shown how robots are helping farmers today. Adults can learn about current developments such as cellular agriculture with food from the laboratory or examine weather stations that use artificial intelligence to make ultra-precise weather forecasts.

The Swiss Museum of Transport and fenaco are working together with around 30 partners for the diverse event. The following organizations are now taking part: the egg trading company EiCO, the food manufacturer frigemo, the Lucerne beekeepers’ association, the robot manufacturer Lely, the wood association Lignum, the wine producer and dealer Rutishauser-DiVino, the Swiss sugar company, the Swissmilk association, the transport company TRAVECO, the seed manufacturer and processor UFA seeds, the Burgrain Museum and the Swiss Mushroom Producers Association.
