Farmers will not be able to establish tax provisions

Farmers will not benefit from tax breaks to compensate for the vagaries of the weather. The Council of States buried this Tuesday by 27 votes to 12 and 1 abstention a motion of the National Council carried by the Jura PDC Jean-Paul Gschwind. The text asked that the peasants could constitute tax provisions during good years to use them later during less favorable periods because of bad weather. For the Council of States, this measure constitutes unequal treatment vis-à-vis other branches also dependent on the weather.

AgriJura has announced that it deeply regrets this decision. For the Jura Chamber of Agriculture, this motion was not a tax gift. / Rch-comm
