Farmers demonstrate at Rockwool factories in Roermond

‘Rather ammonia from shit than from Roermond’, can be read on the signs at the demonstration. Walter Joosten, spokesperson on behalf of the farmers, says that the farmers will only stop when the nitrogen plan is off the table. “We’re putting our heels in the sand, we won’t budge until the plan is done.” According to the spokesperson, the factory emits as much nitrogen every day as 80 cow sheds.
