A new season of ‘Boer zkt Vrouw’ was already announced in the spring of 2021. That would look different than usual, with four farmers and a farmer’s wife not showing their faces. Interested bachelors had to rely on vague photographs and a written portrait. Starting next week, Flanders will finally get the faces of the mystery guests to see.

Loyal viewers had to wait a while for the fourteenth season of Farmer seeks wife† Presenter Dina Tersago (43) already introduced the participants in May 2021. And just before the recordings were to start that same summer, one farmer was absent. The 25-year-old greengrocer Tomas had lost his heart to a lady he had met in a flower shop.
The production therefore had to rush to find a new farmer, which meant that the recordings were delayed. The new season will start next week. Not on Monday evening like the previous seasons, but on Sunday evening – the coveted in television country. We don’t get to see all the faces yet. Only William (25), who lives like a real cowboy on a ranch with horses and bulls, and dairy farmer Elien (26) show their true identities.

‘Blindly married’ chasing
A little refresher: Elien always dreamed of running into someone at a party. That has still not happened, so she is taking her chance through the program. Her business is her great passion, which makes a relationship difficult. Although she also has an eye for life next to the farm: she is social and likes to take a step into the world with her friends.
William is again looking for someone who is not afraid of some adventure. Or, as he puts it himself: “Someone who wants to step out of her comfort zone, someone who is open-minded, and therefore wants to learn and discover new things.”

Potato farmer Kim (30), goat farmer Harry (45) and dairy farmer Cyriel (45) – the substitute for Tomas – are only discussed in the second episode. “Can you fall in love with someone you’ve never met?” is the key question this season. In the meantime, VTM no longer makes an effort to compare with Married blind to get out of the way. The season was even subtitled ‘Blind in love’.
