Farmer Geert Jan changes tack and starts a B & B in a farm

Farmer Geert Jan became known for ‘Farmer is looking for a woman’, but he didn’t find love there. After that he also lost his country and now he has decided to take a different tack.

“I want to start a Bed & Breakfast in my farm”, says the farmer.

Due to a conflict with the municipality, Geert Jan lost all his land. “I only have my farm left,” he tells weekly Story. He had to give up not only the ground, but also the horses that ran on it. “If I had not done that, I would have had to pay a fine of 1000 euros per day. I was just bullied out of here.”
