Should be operated on for the appendix, the doctors got a surprise.
On Sunday, the final was over this year’s “The Farm” seasong recorded in Hurdal, where all participants were gathered one last time before they could embark on 2021 life again.
So far, however, participant Tonje Frigstad (21) did not come, who on Thursday shared a photo of herself on Instagram from what may look like a hospital bed.
– Then the trip goes home to Kristiansand today. It is a joy, the 21-year-old writes to a picture of himself wearing a hospital shirt.
Severe abdominal pain
To Nettavisen, Frigstad confirms that she was hospitalized. The hospitalization was due to severe abdominal pain, and Frigstad says that the doctors were worried that it could be the appendix that caused the severe pain.
– The day after the finale of “The Farm” was recorded, I went to Oslo before setting course for Kristiansand. Suddenly I had severe stomach pains. It hurt so much that I became nauseous, says Frigstad to Nettavisen.
Fortunately, Frigstad was together with “Farmen” participant Simon Tronstad Jacobsen (23) who helped her to the emergency room. From there it was on to the hospital.

– I was placed on the operating table for surgery of the appendix, but when they got to look into my stomach, the doctors found out that it was not the appendix that was the problem, says Frigstad, who thinks the experience was very scary.
Sick leave for one week
According to the “Farmen” participant, the doctors have still not found out what the stomach pain is from, and so far she has been told to relax for a week to see if it all stabilizes.
– I am still in a lot of pain, but the doctors also believe that it may be a reaction to an abrupt transition of food intake after participating in “The Farm”, says Frigstad.
Despite an abrupt start to life back in 2021, Frigstad is still happy that she has returned home to her own bed in Kristiansand.
– Even though the doctors have not found out what it is yet, they have at least ruled out that it should be something dangerous. I can only see what happens next, and bet that the stomach stabilizes, says Frigstad hopefully.
