Tears rolled down the cheeks of Øyunn Krogh (24) when Adam Ezzari (23) was knocked out by “The farm celebrity” after an intense duel in sawing against Heine Totland (51) on Sunday night.
As the big farmer of the week, Krogh met strong opposition after she walked away from the original agreement to choose a girls’ match, and chose Heine Totland as first champion. The atmosphere was, to put it mildly, bad inside the yard, and Totland already decided then to make a plan to take revenge on Krogh.
– I chose Adam as second fighter mainly to hit Øyunn in the worst possible way, Totland says to Nettavisen.
Wanted revenge
According to Totland, he laid out a clear strategy after Krogh designated him as the first champion earlier this week. While it was storming on the farm, the 51-year-old rather went into the think tank.
– I am calm and stand a little in the middle while everyone around me creates a storm. That’s a bit how I work. I’m not a drama queen. When such things happen, I become pragmatic and rather think “how do I fix this best?”, So I started to make a plan already then, Totland says.

The musician never believed in Krogh’s argument that she chose him as the first champion because she saw him as her biggest competitor. Totland therefore wanted revenge, and thought that the worst thing that could happen to Øyunn was that he returned to the farm and that she had sent out her best friend inside the farm, Adam Ezzari.
– When she first chooses me as first champion, she puts both me and Adam in a very vulnerable position, and then I have to bring out the competitive instinct that I rarely blow dust off. The last time was during the “Masterchef” final, and I won it, says Totland.
– Did I know I was going to win
However, the duel did not seem to be an easy match. Ezzari starts with a tremendous pace and gets a huge lead over Totland. But when it comes to the last stick, Ezzari loses his strength and Totland takes over. On the hair, Totland manages to saw over the last stick before Ezzari, so that Ezzari is the first to go to the ground and thus has to go home from “The Farm Celebrity”.
According to Totland, this was also planned.
– I knew that Adam was going to choose sawing, and I was pretty sure I was going to win. I know Adam. I know him well, and know that he goes hard and then loses strength and stops. I set the pace I thought was perfect to win without getting too tired, and I won, says Totland.
– I do not quite remember how Øyunn reacted when I won, but I look forward to watching it on TV. But it’s super delicious to this day. I still think I did not deserve to be elected. I think it was completely undeserved, and a bad and cowardly choice, he continues, but emphasizes that Krogh’s friendship outside the farm is super nice today and that he only speaks from a competition perspective.
According to Ezzari, it was not a given that Totland would walk away with the victory, and believes it could just as well have been Totland who had to pack their things.
– Of course, going home just before the final week was not fun. But for me, the five ordinary weeks were most important, and that I got to experience them I was very happy with. That Heine chose me was perfectly fine, I had faith that I would beat him in sawing anyway. After all, it was margins that separated victory from loss, says Ezzari to Nettavisen.
The 23-year-old has no idea that Totland chose Ezzari to take revenge on Krogh.
– But he survived the duel, so it was probably the right choice, says Ezzari and still agrees that the duel for his part could have been prevented.
– It is not Øyunn’s fault that I smoke, but she could have prevented it by keeping the agreement and choosing Marna. Then I would not have had to go into a duel for the second time.
– Very unsympathetic to say
The background for the election to Totland gets Øyunn Krogh chin drop off. According to the 25-year-old, Totland was very concerned that one should not be vindictive inside the farm, and is surprised at what the idea behind Totland’s choice was really about.

– I think it is very unfortunate first and foremost, I also think it is very unsympathetic. It is not Adam who has done anything to deserve it, so if he was chosen to punish me then it is boring, says Krogh to Nettavisen.
According to Krogh, she chose Totland on the basis that she perceived him as her biggest competitor, and believes that it would be wrong for Totland to believe otherwise.
– It was difficult to choose among the boys. I wanted to take out a big competitor, and of course there are more big competitors than Heine. But if I had chosen Isak he would have 100 percent chosen Adam and I would have got Isak back on the farm anyway, Niklas I should of course have chosen if I had known how he behaved later and Vebjørn I thought I could have a chance to beat , explains Øyunn.
– Stepped on him while he was lying down
Although it all ended the way it did, and Krogh lost one of her best friends on the farm, Krogh does not agree with the claim that it is her fault.
– I do not feel that it is my fault. It is my fault that there was a possibility that he could smoke. There and then it hurt incredibly, but it was more the fellow human being that hurt, says Krogh and continues:
– In recent weeks, Adam had not been so well. The group was very dissatisfied with him, and I think that was very unfair. They did not see the whole of Adam, only some pages. At the time, I was the only one who understood Adam a little. So that’s what hurt. The feeling that “there sits one of his friends and he stabs him in the back”. Not that I was his only friend, but maybe the one who saw all his pages. I felt like I was stepping on him while he was already lying down.

Ezzari makes no secret of the fact that he was disappointed with Krogh’s choice.
– I did not get angry at Øyunn, but I was hurt. I felt, and still feel, that the friendship we gained in there was so strong that we were both willing to make difficult choices to save each other. I would have done that without a doubt, says Ezzari.
Despite an intense and stormy “Farm celebrity” week behind them, the participants enter the very last week on the farm. Next week it is ready for the final week, something Ezzari is not bitter about not being allowed to participate in.
– There is nothing I wish I did differently, and I do not regret anything. It is important to keep your head up and look ahead, he says.
